______________________________________________________________________________
Youth events happen throughout the year and are planned with the youth under the direction of the Program Coordinator and/or Volunteers. Youth are provided with opportunities to take a leadership role in planning and organization events for their peers and for the community. We aim to connect our youth with opportunities to participate in projects that take place in Abbotsford as well as projects that are in collaboration with surrounding community organizations.
For more information about youth led events, please visit our Facebook page!
The Fraser Valley Youth Society also organizes and participates in various community events throughout the year.
We organize the annual Walk Away From Homophobia in Abbotsford and participate in the Vancouver Pride Parade each year. In 2001, we also participated for the first time in the Canada Day Parade in Abbotsford.
